SS Care Trust has launched a Mobile Health Clinic to take free screening for diabetes, hypertension and other non-communicable diseases to the rural villages and urban wards of Davangere. The bus, part of the Trust's Health-on-Wheels program, carries doctors and screening equipment to communities that would otherwise have to travel to a hospital for a check-up.
Mobile health camps run under the program from October to December 2023 and continue through the year. Together with earlier camps, the program has completed more than 175 camps and 35,000 screenings. Panchayats, wards and institutions that would like to host a camp can contact the Trust office.
