Drop of Hope, the Student Wing's first Grand Calendar event, was organised across 10 institutions to promote voluntary blood donation. The campaign built awareness through motivational talks by Dr. Prabha Mallikarjun and the Principals, classroom presentations, WhatsApp campaigns and informative posters, encouraging students to become lifesavers.
The drive culminated in a collection of 669 units of blood. BIET was the highest contributor with 250 donors, followed by SSIMS & RC (62), Bapuji B Schools (57), JJMMC (51), RL Law College (50), DRM Science College (50), BDCH (45), AVK College (45), ARG College (38) and CODS (21).
Every donor underwent a medical screening and was presented with a Donor Card, Certificate, Parker pen, keychain, one-day attendance, and the benefit of redeeming one unit of blood whenever required. The campaign was enriched by the Experience Zone, Tree of Hope, Gratitude Wall, Pledge Wall, Leaderboard and Photo Booth. Dr. Prabha Mallikarjun congratulated the BIET Student Wing for their outstanding contribution, as Drop of Hope concluded with a message of compassion, unity and the gift of saving lives.
