SS Care Trust, in association with ALIMCO CRC, Davanagere, and the Department for the Empowerment of Differently Abled and Senior Citizens, Government of Karnataka, organised an Assistive Devices Assessment Camp at Bapuji Bank Samudaya Bhavana, Davangere. The camp assessed the needs of persons with disabilities and senior citizens above 60 years of age, so that each person could receive the assistive devices that suit their requirements.
Medical experts carried out detailed assessments, while volunteers of the SS Care Trust Student Wing managed registrations, guided beneficiaries, coordinated the assessment process and ensured the smooth conduct of the event.
The camp saw an overwhelming response, with over 1,200 participants, including 700+ persons with disabilities and senior citizens. A total of 343 beneficiaries were identified, and 995 assistive devices, worth approximately ₹28.83 lakh, were recommended for distribution.
